For reading my group read a book called the Big jump. This story was about the coolest kid at school was afraid to jump of and zip line down the tallest tower, then his class mates asked him what took so long and then he blamed it on another guy that was up their with him at the time. Amazing, Brave, Fierce, Anzac Mascots

In reading we have been learning about animals that were part of WW1 and WW2. Our task was to create a DLO ( digital learning object) , to tell others about what we new and how mascots (animals) were used in the war. I found this task very exciting and I learnt a lot about the war and how animals were used in it, one part I did find difficult was to explain everything in the correct order and give as much information as I could without over explaining it.

• She is a professional tennis player and started playing at the age of three.

For this Activity I had to ask my dad what his dream job was and then write 6 ways I could support him to help him achieve it.  I wish my dad could achieve his goal but sadly he is to old. please leave a comment and enjoy. 

My dads dream job 

My dad's dream job was to be a professional motorbike racer.

The task is to name 6 ways I can support them in achieving their dream job. 

• I can encourage him to train and help him. 
• I can keep him on track and support him no matter what his decision.
• I would help him diet and take care of him if he gets hurt.
• I would be the loudest cheering for him to motivate him.
• I would raise money to help him race and have the right gear.
• I will make sure he enjoys himself and has fun.

Sadly it is too late for my dad to achieve his dream Job.

For this SLJ activity I had to write about someone I knew who was brave like Mr Cheslsey Sullenberger, I chose my great uncle who I learnt facts about. here is my story and someone who I think is amazingly brave. please leave a comment and enjoy.

Someone I know who was brave like Sully when the Hudson crashed 

So during world war 2 my great uncle on my dads side Ted  was a bomber on

the Lancaster's and they used to measure the bomber flight crews life span

in hours because so many got killed. He used to lie on his stomach in the

plane and have to look through a telescope to find the enemy target to drop

the bombs on. During this time they were trying to find the target, there was
an enemy fighter aircraft trying to shoot them down and if they survived that

they still had to try and survive the hundreds of rounds of anti aircraft

shells that would be shot at them. It didn’t very often happen but he was one

of the very rare airman to survive all his bombing missions.

The Hungry sea and me, Day 1 activity 1

It is now the holidays and I have started the Summer Learning journey activities, My first activity was about a woman who sailed around the world using the Polynesian skill to navigate her in every direction. How Room 5 and I can show Respect!

In class we have been having a few problems, and we had to create a piece of writing of how we can show Respect, I made an acrostic poem about Respect. 

After we did that we had to finish creating it on Biteable. I had so much fun using Biteable and I would recommend it for others to use.

In Matilda my reading group we read a article called The game. It was about these kids training to become fighters by playing a video game. Our task was to create a video game controller and have the game set underwater. I created an old fashioned video game controller and it has a few controllers.  this is my presentation. The article we were reading was  called In the picture Gus Sinaumea Hunter, Illustrator. This story was about a fantastic illustrator called Gus, it was about how he followed his dream of being an illustrator and how he reached for that dream. At the end of the book it had a few tips on how to draw people and how Gus learnt. 

Our task was to create a picture from a part of any paragraph of any piece of writing. I chose to create a picture about my Hansel and Gretel story and I Chose the picture to be from the part when the mother creates a footpaths of glowing feet to help Hansel and Gretel get home. The Return of the Market Day Posters!

In class, we have our Market day coming up and we have been making posters for what we are selling. 

My group is selling paper logs that you can burn in your fire. 

We have been making these since term 2 and We have been preparing them for market day. 

Our market day is from 2-4pm and we will be selling these Briquettes for $1 each or 3 for $2. I have designed a poster to attract people to come buy My groups product. Would this make you want to buy a Briquette and what can I do to make it better?

In class we have been learning about Mary and we had to create a DLO to show others how we I can do to become a disciple of Jesus. I listed a few things and put a lot of effort in. Please leave a comment and tell me if there is anything I can do better.

My Christmas poem

In class, for writing we looked back on the genre of writing we have been learning about. We got to do any piece of writing we wanted, like persuasive, narrative and even recounts. I chose to do a Cinquain poem which is were you have five lines and it starts with a noun, I did my poem about Christmas and I did two. 

I looked up a few words in a dictionary to help me enlarge my vocabulary. I found it a little tricky to find words for Christmas and not having to use the same ones. But I liked widening my vocabulary and learning new words.

The Stag Trap

WALT Combine prior and knowledge to come up with new ideas. In Matilda my reading group we read a article called The Stag, It was about a boy going hunting and then a Stag dying. during this time, we had to come up with a way to trap stags instead of having to kill them, So I have created a trap to catch Stags. I enjoyed creating this because its a way not to kill an animal.
