The Avocado Drama

WALT in class we are learning about paragraphs and we had to go into groups of threes and create a story using scholastic story starters, our main character was an avocado and he plays a big part in the story. First we created the story then we made the picture book today I will be posting the picture book. During this I found it difficult because it took along time and it was hard to create the characters but in the end  I finished with my buddy's. Here is my picture book.

The Machine

In reading we have now started to do our own shared slideshow work and it is different but it seems a little bit easier and it doesn't take so long. I found this work easy but hard to find different example and explanations, but since I have done this many times it wasn't to hard. Also we were reading a fiction passage this week so that was one of the reasons why it was easier. This is my work.

Mr Woodpecker

WALT in class we were put into groups of three we had to create a slideshow where someone did the character someone did the setting and the other person did the problem then altogether we did the solution and put it into one big piece of writing. I did the character and I was really confused and didn't know what I was doing but I got help and went with what I had. Our teacher gave us a character a setting and a problem. I think the character was the hardest to do but all of them were hard.

Shared Slideshow Week 6

In Matilda my reading group we have created another mindmup. The reading passage we had reminded me of star wars and it was a little different so I struggled a little bit but then i finished it and got some feedback. My feedback was that I didn't have to much information or to little which was good and I also explained what things meant but I could have worked on adding more capital letters at the start so i know to fix that and I got more feedback which said that I did a great job and I had related and not to much information but I got mixed up with a character but a little mistake was okay. I liked my feedback because most of it was good and I know to fix things next time.

Why I Absolutely Love Summer

In class we had to give a description of what season we thought was the best and I chose summer. We had to put a intro and three paragraphs with a conclusion. I found this easy to start with then I struggled coming up with more ideas of why summer is the best but I kept going and did it.

What is your favourite Season?why? 

Don’t you love it when you go outside and feel the rays of sunshine on your face and the warm breeze blows through your hair, unless you are Mr Norman and have a bald head. Summer is my absolute favourite what is yours?

Summer is my favourite season because you get to go outside and go on hikes, also if it is really hot outside then thats your reason why your parents should get you an ice cream, and I do love a creamy delicious ice cream on a hot day.

Do you ever have enough time to go outside and play in winter I don’t, do you get so cold that your lips turn purple, I do, well in summer you don’t have to worry you can run outside and stay warm with the heat of the sun shining on you and you get to go to the pool or be with your family also your not stuck inside being bored.

Some of us love going to the beach to tan and some of us love lying in the sun waiting to crisp, Summer is basically the only time you can do this I mean you can’t do it in winter you will become an ice cube so Summer is the best time to tan and it is the best Season.

In Summer all the flowers and animals are basically fully grown because in spring the animals and flowers start to grow and in summer they are fully grown.

These are my reasons why summer is my favourite Season and why I think it's the best.

WALT in class for reading my group had to create and info graphic but before we did this we had a lesson on what an info graphic was and an info graphic is like a poster that has lots of information and images. I found this difficult at the start because I was a bit confused and our reading passage was hard but then I got the hang of it and put lots of information down. I got a comment on my info graphic and it was that I had a lot of information and maybe I could just add in some pictures and make it bigger so people can read it. hope you enjoy and please give feedback on what I could work on.

The Eucharist

WALT in class we have been learning about the Eucharist. I chose this symbol because it represents what I think the Eucharist is and it means to me that God is with you and you are one with God when you take the Eucharist. You need to ave your fist holy communion before you take the Eucharist.
The Eucharist is the body and blood and we need to remember that the Eucharist is the body of Jesus and he sacrificed himself for us.
